TRAINING RECAP

On Building Relationships

Have you now already tried the 36 questions to make someone fall in love with you? While we're not suggesting eye-gazing marathons in the office, our session did explore how to build meaningful relationships at work. Let’s dive into creating connections that go beyond the surface.

The core concepts of the session

🛡️Psychological Safety and a Sense of Belonging

Creating an environment where everyone feels safe to express themselves is crucial.

Psychological safety is a condition in which you feel included, safe to learn, contribute, and safe to challenge the status quo.

Sense of Belonging is one of the three key factors of intrinsic motivation and refers to doing an activity for its inherent satisfaction, rather than for some separable consequence.

🗣️ Four Areas to Share for Building Personal Relationships

Sharing is caring. Especially when we think about how we are building personal relationships. How much you share depends a lot on how you personally feel, sharing details about yourself in the workplace.

These four categories will help you to think about what to share.

👂 Active and Great Listening

We have talked about listening repeatedly in this program. The reason? It is so incredibly important - especially for building relationships.

Listening isn't just about hearing words; it's about understanding and empathy. Your mindset during listening – being present, open, and genuinely interested – is as important as what you hear.

Your Moment of Truth

As always, it matters what you do with the newly learned content from this training session. Write down for yourself:

What will you change regarding personalcloseness in your team until the next session?

Schedule your Buddy Session

Reflect on your approach to personal closeness:

  • What changes will you make to foster deeper relationships at work?
  • Share your strategies and insights with your buddy.
